Hi, I tried downloading this album but I found that I couldn't open any of the songs. I used WinRAR to open the files I downloaded but then if I try and play a song, it will tell me that the file is either damaged or is of an unknown file format. Would you be able to help please?
Download both files x.zip.01 and x.zip.02 to the same directory and open x.zip.01 and extract the files from there. I tested it before i uploaded it, so it should work. You NEED both zips for any of the songs to work
Hi again, sorry for asking such a newbie question...what do you mean by downloading both files into the same directory? Is it the equivalent of saving both files into the same folder?
I know I've encountered these files several times before and opened them successfully as well but it's the first time I haven't been able to open it, despite using the same methods that I've used before.
yeah, its the equivalent. You only need to open the first zip file and all the songs will be displayed, its just that some of the auctual data of the files is stored in the second zip file. As long as the 2nd zip file is in the same folder, your program (winrar or 7zip or whatever) will grab the data from the 2nd zip file itself. So just make sure you have both files in the same folder and just use the first zip file as a regular zip file.
Oh I see I see. If that's the case, then would it be possible for you to download the files one more time and check? Because, even after redownloading the files, I keep encountering the same error message, despite following your instructions.
Just tested the files. Here are the steps i took.
1: Downloaded both files to my desktop.
2: Once both files were complete, double click [J-MuNet]Dramatiques.zip.001 to open it with 7-zip.
3. 7-zip opens and displays the contents of the file (a "Dramatiques" folder and the J-MuNet.html)
4. Dragged the "Dramatiques" folder onto my desktop
5. 7-zip extracts the files and then copys them to the desktop just fine.
If you can't even open the first zip file so you can see the contents, try again, or try right click>Open with>whatever program you use.
What program are you using?
I reccomend 7-zip. Try downloading something else i've uploaded in 2 parts, like EMYLI's album and see if you have the problem.
If nothing works, ill just upload it Dainmymi style :(
Thanks. I tried using 7-zip instead and everything worked perfectly fine. I don't know why WinRAR wouldn't open the file. It's a stupid piece of software lol
